Tribalco is seeking experienced Network Engineers with experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions to join our team in October of 2025. Site Surveys will begin at Misawa Air Base in Japan and may continue to South Korea upon completion of the work in Japan. Site Surveys will be completed in small teams of four engineers.
 
Responsibilities
  • Multi-disciplined network engineer with experience across wired, wireless, and mobile broadband solutions.
  • Conduct site surveys and network assessments to determine the best hardware and software components for network upgrades to ensure networks are reliable, efficient, and secure.
  • May be required to assist with developing designs, configurations, and implementation of network solutions based on the customers' specifications and performance requirements.
  • Support preliminary and final Site Preparation Requirements and Installation Plan (SPRIP) development
  • Conduct system pre-test and acceptance tests to validate the designed performance criteria.
  • Provide Post-Deployment Over-the-Shoulder Training to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) team to ensure smooth transition of the network systems
  • Knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP).
  • Support development of cyber artifacts such as topology/data flow diagrams, hardware/software lists, STIG checklists, ports/protocols/services, and POAMs.
  • Support design and implementation of secure networks, systems, and application architectures.
  • Support development of List of Materials (LOM) to capture all major components and installation materials to ensure successful deployment of systems.
  • Ensure network solutions are in compliance with all pertinent DAF policies and established compliant IT system integrations.
  • Assist the O&M team in troubleshooting network-related issues post-deployment of the new systems.
  • Possesses and applies expertise on multiple complex work assignments.
  • Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks.
Desired Skills
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with their team and customers
  • Knowledge of Cisco switches
  • Communications closet survey experience
  • Experience surveying (pre/post) and installing networks
Education and Certifications
  • Cisco Network Associate (CCNA)
  • Security+
  • Technical BA/BS degree with five years of experience or a high school diploma/associate degree with seven years of experience as a Network Engineer on large, complex programs
Clearance
  • Active Secret DoD Security Clearance
