We are seeking a seasoned Senior AWS Solutions Architect who possesses the finesse of a consultant specializing in migration and modernization engagements. This individual will be the backbone of our AWS engagements, equipped with extensive knowledge of AWS IaaS, PaaS, Cloud Native Services, Marketplace, and have the agility to understand nuances across varied industries swiftly. Their mission will span from the sales cycle, where they'll weave our value proposition, to the post-sale assessments, solution architecture, and proposal developments for implementation stages. Furthermore, they will offer invaluable oversight during the execution phase. Our ideal candidate would be an articulate communicator who understands the delicate art of client interactions and can seamlessly collaborate with AWS partner teams. Beyond these responsibilities, they will also be instrumental in practice building, from sculpting offerings to team building.

Other crucial areas of focus for you would be to assist the marketing and practice leaders with their business development efforts including sales proposals, solutions, and important presentations to clients, and participate in scoping and design efforts for small strategy and large application migration and modernization engagement.

The role is highly visible and demands proven credentials and expertise in envisioning new technology solutions, IT transformation, application modernization, cloud migration, enterprise IT portfolio rationalization, and continuous process improvement.

What You'll Be Doing:

 

  • Sales Cycle Engagement: Dive into the sales cycle, showcasing our capabilities and crafting bespoke AWS solutions for potential clients across diverse industries.
  • Client Engagement: Post-sales, work closely with clients to understand requirements.
  • End-to-End Assessment: Own the comprehensive assessment phase of all engagements, ensuring that outcomes are clearly defined and aligned with both client and organizational goals.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the creation of compelling proposals for the implementation phase, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry best practices.
  • Oversight & Guidance: Provide crucial oversight to delivery teams during the execution phase, ensuring projects stay aligned with the outlined architecture and meet quality standards.
  • AWS Partner Programs: Engage proactively with AWS teams on the development of special partner programs, ensuring we leverage all opportunities to enhance our service delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate adeptly with AWS partner teams, ensuring alignment in objectives and clarity in communication.
  • Practice Building: Engage in overarching organizational growth, contributing to offering definitions, capability enhancements, and team building.

Who you are:

  • Minimum of 12-14 years of hands-on experience with a wide array of AWS technologies along with application design, development, and modernization.
  • Experience in managing and leading teams for application migration and modernization.
  • Good understanding and enterprise architect experience of cloud- and digital-native application design principles (like micro-services, stateless application meant for cloud, containers, serverless architecture etc.).
  • Expert in providing IT solutions with sound knowledge of cloud, DevOps, application development, application migration, and modernization.
  • Should have experience in working through all phases of the SDLC and should know about all emerging technologies, processes, and frameworks.
  • Proven track record in migration and modernization projects, showcasing depth in solution crafting and problem-solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp industry-specific nuances and craft tailored solutions.
  • An understanding of AWS partner programs and funding models is a significant plus. If not familiar, the expectation is a rapid acquisition of this knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a keen sense of what, when, and how to convey messages to varied audiences.
  • Proven experience in working effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
  • A blend of technical expertise and consultative skills to guide clients, build credibility, and foster trust.
  • Up-to-date with the latest in AWS and broader cloud trends, constantly seeking to expand knowledge and skills.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Compensation & Benefits for Fulltime Hiring:

 

Trianz compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay ranges between $160,000 to $190,000 USD. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
