Fiber and Copper Technicians - North Carolina
Description
Specific job duties include:
- Drop work includes hanging aerial drops, pulling drops in conduit/subduct
- The ability to work independently in the field with little supervision.
- Observe all safety rules and regulations.
- Direct customer facing work, displaying professional appearance, demeanor when communicating products, services to customers.
- Accountability/dependability (on time and on load when scheduled and serve on call as needed)
- Teamwork (technical expertise developed to complete work efficiently to achieve work group key service measures)
- Active listening (ability to take input from customers, APS and co-workers to problem solve and improve skills)
- Asking relevant questions to ensure problems are resolved quickly or to clarify information or directions

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
- Technician must have their own truck, van, or SUV with ladder rack
- Technician must have their own tools to perform the job as well as an android smart phone & laptop
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Must have Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including lace up boots with a defined 1/2-inch heel, a hard hat, a reflective safety vest, a fall resistor, and safety cones
- Must be available to work flexible hours (weekend work may be required)
Physical Requirements:
- Physical ability to work various in conditions, including working in attics, crawl spaces, and in adverse weather conditions.
- Physical ability to work from a kneeling or standing position for long periods
- Physical ability to climb ladders with proper equipment (safety belt, safety strap, hard hat, and other equipment as needed).
- Able to lift and carry loads up to 75lbs including ladder
