Perform various accounting duties which include collecting financial data, accounting, reconciliation, banking duties and analysis.

Duties:

• Perform reporting duties both internally and externally as it relates to cession statement reporting, captive reporting, and TPA services reporting – 10%.
• Effectively collaborate with members of Finance, Treasury, Actuarial, Technology Services, and the Project Management Office, as appropriate to validate the accuracy of the Ceded Reinsurance Asset and Schedule F reporting – 10%.
• Responsible for reconciling the ceded asset, bad debt reporting and analysis, Schedule F preparation and reporting (FFH and NAIC), statutory reporting requirements outside of Schedule F responsibilities – 30%.
• Responsible for General Ledger responsibilities, including reconciliation and analysis – 20%.
• Assist with ad hoc requests, special projects, and external audit requests – 10%.
• Provide Finance, Actuarial and Reinsurance with financially material data pre-financial close and post-financial close – 5%.
• Responsible for booking manual entries, reconciling manual balance sheet accounts, and assisting with overall reconciliation of paid and case reconciliations – 15%.

Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field, along with 1 year of experience with the following:

• Automated financial and accounting reporting systems;
• Accounting principles (IFRS, STAT and GAAP);
• Accounting theory;
• Schedule F reporting;
• Insurance reporting requirements;
• Using computers in a Microsoft environment;
• Using Microsoft Excel;
• Using Microsoft Access or data querying languages such as T-SQL to execute basic level data queries;
• Assisting in the development of basic prototype data reporting solutions; and
• Assisting in basic-level data research.

Hybrid office / home work schedule. Required to work evenings/weekends 6 days per quarter to meet company finance team demands.
