Essential Functions |
- Assist with gathering data and preparing foreign tax credit computations, OFL/ODL recaptures, income and expense sourcing, notional investment income allocations and other similar attributes for the Fairfax (US) Inc. and Subsidiaries group
- Assist with research and preparation of detailed analysis related to PFIC, CFC, Entity Classification, Subpart F, BEAT, GILTI, FBAR reporting, FACTA reporting, DCL, etc.
- Assist with preparing calculations and detailed analysis related to partnerships for the Fairfax (US) Inc. group, as requested
- Prepare IAS 12 calculations and/or ASC 740 calculations and related reporting disclosures for select subsidiaries of Fairfax (US) Inc., as requested
- Prepare Federal tax compliance for select subsidiaries of Fairfax (US) Inc., as requested
- Provide support for International, Federal, and State direct and indirect tax audits, as requested
- Stay current with new developments in tax law and accounting for taxes
- Assist with other special projects, as requested

Essential Requirements |
Knowledge Required: | - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Tax consulting/reporting experience in the following fields preferred: (1) Federal tax compliance, (2) International tax compliance, (3) Tax research
- Experience in tax at a public accounting firm a strong plus
- CPA or working toward CPA licensing a strong plus
