Job Description

Trek University helps to turn part-time jobs into lifelong career opportunities in the bike industry.  As a Trek University Instructor, you’ll create video modules, training documents, and practice activities to help individuals progress in their career development paths.  The content you make will be viewed across our 5,000+ global retailers and by Trek’s internal retail employees.  You’ll work closely with Trek University’s Retail Trainers on what content needs to be created within a set curriculum for a retail sales employee or a retail manager.

Based at our HQ in Waterloo, WI, you will be involved with all parts of the training module creation process. But it’s not all about making movies, you’ll also help create role play scenarios, training practice games, and other print document to support our on-line and in-person training efforts. 

In addition to retail content creation, you will help with other training deliverables such as product training, admin/logistics for a monthly Store Manager Orientation, and more!

 

Responsibilities:

Concept, design, and script retail training modules for Trek University

Be on-camera talent for training modules

Create print training and practice guides, SOPs and other training documentation

Collaborate with Retail Trainers on content and curriculum design

 

Requirements:

Retail experience preferred (bike retail a bonus!)

Great writing skills

Great on-camera presence

Energy, empathy, authority, and passion to help others succeed

Organized and detail oriented

Receptive to feedback, learn-it-all attitude & approach
