Trek grew out of one man’s belief that he could build a different kind of company. In a barn in southern Wisconsin, Dick Burke instilled the simple principles that continue to guide us today: build things that last—memories, relationships, bicycles, a brand—and leave a legacy of positive change.
Cycling is a huge part of our employee culture, but you don't need to wear lycra to work here. This is a place where impassioned people with diverse experiences come together to make something great.

Medical Trek offers two nationwide medical plan options for employees to choose from:
The PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plan offers a lower deductible, and the plan pays 90% / 70% of your medical expenses after you meet your deductible.
The HDHP (High Deductible Health Plan) is a lower cost on a bi-weekly basis, requires a higher deductible.
Vision Care Discount overall savings up to 35%, savings on laser vision correction, access to private practice and retail providers nationwide.
Maternity leave offer female employees eight weeks of time off at 100% pay.
Fertility and infertility services Offers annual $10,000 benefit covering any fertility related services and prescriptions. Coverage includes (but is not limited to) procedures such as IUI and IVF, plus prescribed fertility medication.
Dental Preventive services (100% covered), basic restorative services (80% covered), major restorative services (50% covered), orthodontics (50% covered).
Life Insurance Basic Life with Accidental Death and Dismemberment Coverage (premium is 100% covered by Trek) or Additional Term Life Insurance (you can choose to purchase additional term life insurance coverage on yourself, your spouse, and your children).
FSA Flexible Spending Accounts provide you with an important tax advantage that can help you pay for health care and dependent care expenses on a pretax base.
Health Care FSA: This program lets employees pay for certain IRS-approved medical care expenses that are not covered by their insurance plan with pretax dollars.
Dependent Care FSA: The Dependent Care FSA lets employees use pretax dollars toward qualified dependent care expenses such as care for children under the age of 13 or care for adult-disabled children or elderly parents.
Retirement savings Build your financial security with Trek’s 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP). You are eligible for Trek’s 401(k) plan the first of the month following six months of employment, and eligible for the Trek ESOP the first of the month following 12 months of employment. Trek will match your 401(k) deferral at 3.5% of your pay, provided you contribute at least 6%. ESOP contributions depend on company profitability.
Educational Assistance (HQ only) Trek encourages employees to improve their job performance and prepare for even more challenging positions by taking classes, attending seminars, or working toward an undergraduate, technical, or advanced degree program. Trek will reimburse 75% of the cost of approved GED, associate degree, college, or business related courses, up to a maximum of $10,000 per calendar year, lifetime maximum of $25,000.
Employee Product Discount Trek employees get fantastic product discounts, beginning on the date of hire.
Commuter benefits Employees who commute by bike or carpool receive credit to use toward meals or employee bike purchases.
Wellness Program At Trek, your rewards add up when you bike / run / walk the talk. As a company that believes in bikes - and believes in taking action - we encourage you to kick your health into a higher gear by actively participating in our Wellness platforms. We provide Health Risk Assessments, BioScreens, In-Health Coaching, and an onsite clinic for employees to take advantage of.
Fitness Center The Fitness Center offers a variety of cardio equipment, a full circuit of strength training machines, free weights, daily on-site fitness classes, and on-site trainers.
On-Site Clinic Trek’s clinic is an urgent care clinic equivalent, with full time lab technician and physician’s assistant for employees and their families to use.
Clinic services Including our dietician, athletic trainers and PA—are free for all plan members and their spouses. Employees can also pay for optional services that include massage, chiropractic care, acupuncture, and mental health.
Trek Trails Trek employees enjoy private access to a World Cup cyclocross course and 21 miles of some of the Midwest’s finest trails for four seasons of mountain biking, running, hiking, and cross country skiing.
The Barn Trek’s on-site cafeteria. Trek offers healthy and local foods at our onsite café, implementing health value pricing and a farm-to-table approach. -Trek partners with many local purveyors bringing employees fresh, organic foods at highly subsidized costs.
