As delivering safe and high-quality products is a top priority, we work with a dedicated quality and compliance team to ensure our products follow all the regulations that apply to our products. A part of this compliance team focusses on the European market and is based in our Harderwijk office in The Netherlands. We’re currently looking to expand this team with a:

Compliance Engineer (Full Bike & Accessory Certification) 

In this role your priority is to always ensure that products which are developed, produced or sold in Europe comply with the regulations of the countries where they will be sold. This means you will have to collect all information that is related to regulations, testing and procedures throughout Europe and work with test-engineers, product quality engineers, manufacturing, project managers, consultants and third-party test labs to ensure bikes and other products meet all requirements. This means that you’re frequently communicating with global teams. Your job is to create and maintain a complete documentation on all bike & accessory certification, including CPSC and EN/ISO FAI, CPSC Certificates of Compliance and European Declarations of Conformity. Also, you’re the first point of contact on all WEEE/Battery/Packaging compliance. In this role you report to the General Counsel in the legal department based in the US.

We’re looking for:

  • Living close to the Harderwijk office (max. 30 km) or willing to relocate.
  • A candidate with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Sciences with 1-2 years’ experience. Outstanding recent University graduates will be considered.
  • Experience with Excel, Jira, Confluence, and PLM software
  • Understanding of international electronic regulations
  • Excellent communication skills with an interest in working with teams around the world. Proficient in English and understanding of German Language a plus
  • International travel will be required
  • Pro-active, assertive and able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & complete tasks within product creation timelines. 
  • Experience with reading regulatory directives and standards
  • Experience with electrical component certification is a plus
