Primary Purpose

 The Student Recruitment Advisor will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to prospective students who have shown interest in studying with Trebas Institute. The role holder will be tasked with providing a one-on-one consultative service to each student, assessing each students’ requirements, and making recommendations in line with their individual needs – all the while being a recruitment ambassador and promoting Trebas Institute as the study destination of choice.

Specific Responsibilities 

  • Daily correspondence via telephone and email with prospective students.
  • Provide effective and professional written and oral communication with all prospective students.
  • Responsible for campus tours as school recruitment ambassador
  • Identify and understanding student needs via one-to-one consultation.
  • Provide a bespoke customer service to all students, assessing requirements and making recommendations in line with individual needs.
  • Manage student applications from original inquiry through to enrollment.
  • Work with prospective students, applicants, and their families to provide high-quality advising on university/school admission requirements, academic programs, school life and financial requirements.
  • Maintain a conversion rate on all types of inquiries from lead to an interview, interview to enrollment and enrollment to start of the program.
  • Accountable for business growth through effective sales activity; consultative sales, consistent following up, delivering relevant information to prospective students in a timely manner.
  • Meet and exceed annual, monthly, and quarterly starts, referrals, targets, and objectives as per tenure expectations.
  • Responsible for developing and delivering the recruitment and sales strategy to meet ambitious targets within agreed budget and timeframes.
  • Develop effective processes using Salesforce to manage, to monitor and convert inquiries generated from campaigns and inquiries from the website by phone, email and in-person.

Position Requirements

 Competencies:

  • Fluent in English and French is required.
  • Passion and knowledge of the film, sound, business-tech industry in Montreal.
  • Proven target-driven marketing and sales skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, with the drive for business and personal growth.
  • Confident negotiator and ability to 'close the deal', with strong profile management skills.
  • Capable of hands-on problem-solving, with the ability to generate ideas and solutions.
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities.
  • Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills in all forms including written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation.

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required.
  • Proven experience in Student Advising or Sales role is required.
  • Exposure to the music & film environment is an asset.
  • Experience recruiting international students is desired.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools an asset.
