THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION FOR APPROXIMATELY 3-6 MONTHS.  
Schedule: M-F 8:30-5:00, 40 hours/week  
This position is 100% onsite our Corporate Headquarters in Vacaville, California. 
 
Summary: The Travis Credit Union (TCU) Funding Specialists are responsible for analyzing, verifying, and processing consumer loans within required time frames. This role ensures loan requests are in compliance with Credit Union and Regulatory guidelines. TCU’s Funding Specialists meet department standards and ensure effective productivity and quality service levels are achieved.  
 
Profile:
  • Analyzes and validates supporting documentation prior to processing consumer loan applications to prevent fraud and ensures quality control.
  • Interprets approvals and/or conditions and verifies that all requirements have been met.
  • Ensures loans are in compliance with all credit union and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensures quality service is provided at all times when communicating with members and internal/external business partners.
  • Proactively monitors loan queues and service requests, ensuring timely responsiveness.
  • Completes daily departmental functions such as running and reviewing reports.
  • Provides assistance, direction and training to peers and internal business partners.
  • Completes ongoing training, maintains up-to-date knowledge of Consumer Lending policies and procedures, and credit union products and services.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve departmental processes to enhance efficiency.
  • Administers functional area testing for myriad system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Assists in all areas of Consumer Lending as needed.

  • Ability to use independent judgment and discretion when reviewing appropriate exceptions to the Credit Union guidelines.

  • Proficient mathematical and analytical skills to include rate, ratio and percentage calculations.
 
Reporting and Experience:  
 
  • Reports directly to assigned Consumer Lending management.
  • HS Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year consumer loan processing or equivalent loan processing work experience or minimum of 2 years of customer service or clerical work experience.
 
 
Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. Requires flexibility in work schedule.
 
Understands the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act and ensures compliance through monitoring and reporting of member activity as appropriate.
 
Compensation: Base salary starting range is commensurate with experience.
 
  • $20.43/hour - $25.24/hour

This is a temporary position and will be payrolled and managed through a third party temporary agency.  Limited benefits will be available through the temporary agency.
