Summary
: Travis Credit Union’s (TCU) AVP, ATM Channel and Cash Management is responsible for leading the design and implementation of self-service banking options and cash management functions for the credit union. This includes determining overall functionality of ATM and other self-service channels (software and hardware); driving process improvement efforts; developing multi-year roadmaps; and managing vendor relationships related to these areas of responsibility.

 

This role will provide oversight of all elements of cash management forecasting, ordering, transport, and handling (software, hardware, vendor negotiations and relationships) to support branches, ATMs, and treasury management vaults for members. Strategic initiatives will include elements of revenue generating opportunities and improvements in the overall member experience. These will be enabled through leadership of the ATM & Cash Management team and strategic partnerships with line of business leaders at TCU.

  • Engages with line of business partners, operations, and IT, regarding strategy, enhancement implementation, test design, and vendor performance measurement. Focus is on high availability of the ATM and proper cash levels for all channels.
  • Assesses consumer and business banking trends and applies to the strategic vision of the ATM channel, including innovation in new areas and technology beyond traditional ATMs.
  • Partners closely with all lines of business to ensure ATM channel alignment with member experience and financial strategies, as well as provides needed cash management services to all channels.
  • Drives and executes process management efforts and improvements for ATM, cash management, and all related vendors to improve accuracy and cycle time while maintaining highly available systems.
  • Manages and maintains departmental analytics and reporting.
  • Increases member adoption of ATM and related banking channels.
  • Ensures all ATMs, branches, and vaults have the right amount of cash on-hand to support transaction needs and meet reserve standards. This includes regular audits of all locations holding cash.
  • Oversees ATM deployment efforts ensuring seamless implementation and minimized failed customer interactions.
  • Manages all aspects of compliance and risk mitigation objectives related to ATMs in accordance with the American’s with Disability Act, PCI, federal, and state regulations.
  • Ensures all audit and compliance procedures are followed and that satisfactory audit ratings are consistently achieved.
  • Continually and actively identifies opportunities to improve the quality of the member experience and implement changes.
  • Manages disaster recovery/crisis management activities in compliance with TCU’s Business Continuity Plan.
  • Manages departmental income and expense within budgetary goals.

Skills:  

 
  • Sound knowledge of ATM channel strategy and related operations for multi-site financial institutions.
  • Experience with ATM products and related technologies including the operation of Diebold ATMs.
  • Proven ability with cash management forecasting, ordering, transport, and handling for multi-site financial institution.
  • Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Supervisory Relationships:

 
  • Reports directly to the SVP, Operations
  • Direct supervisory responsibility for assigned department leadership.
  • Overall management responsibility for all department staff.

 

Experience and Education:

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, computer science, IT or a related field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience with:
    • ATM Channel and Operations experience
    • Vendor management
    • Cash management
  • Minimum of 8 years of management-level demonstrated experience leading a high-performing, cohesive team.

 

Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. Requires traveling to Credit Union branches and other venues, and attending special and community-related events during business hours, evenings and/or weekends.

 

Compensation: Base salary starting range:  $141,740.56 - $175,094.40 annually is commensurate with experience.
