Summary: The AVP of Facilities & Support Services at Travis Credit Union (TCU) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the credit union's facilities, including maintenance, budgeting, security, and space planning. This role ensures that all facilities are well-maintained, safe, and compliant with regulations, which directly contributes to a positive and secure environment for both employees and members. By managing vendor relationships, implementing sustainability practices, and developing emergency preparedness plans, the AVP of Facilities & Support Services supports the credit union's operational efficiency and resilience. This position also plays a crucial role in enhancing member experience by ensuring that all facilities are welcoming and functional.

Profile:
- Provides leadership and managerial oversight for the credit union’s facilities, support services, safety and security teams, fostering a collaborative and performance-oriented culture. Responsible for training, developing and managing performance of staff, providing prompt and objective coaching, and coordinating, planning and assigning work.
- Sources, selects and manages all facility-related service vendors. Prepares and manages annual facilities capital expenditure and operating budgets. Manages facility lease agreements, landlord relationships, and commercial real estate broker partnerships
- Manages facility repairs and maintenance. Monitors and controls the major sub-contracts for HVAC maintenance, landscape and janitorial for those facilities to ensure a well-maintained environment. Directs essential central services such as reception, security, maintenance, mail, cleaning, waste disposal and recycling.
- Develops and maintains emergency preparedness and business continuity plans for facilities, ensuring readiness and resilience against potential disruptions. Responds appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
- Works closely with Senior Management, vendors, contractors and government agencies regarding the placement, expansion, renovation, relocation, sale, or closure of credit union facilities. Provides design and space criteria and works with senior management to reach final approval of facility design. Investigates and evaluates new materials, systems, equipment or items, which may otherwise benefit the Credit Union in its facilities programs.
- Keeps abreast of all current laws and regulations pertaining to areas of responsibility, i.e. ADA requirements, building codes, etc. Ensures all building meets health and safety requirements, conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure facilities comply with local, state, and federal legislations and regulations. Develops, revises, implements and communicates area related policies and procedures.
- Implements energy-saving and sustainability practices across facilities to reduce environmental impact and support corporate social responsibility goals.
- Provides administrative responsibility for planning and facility development including preparing and monitoring budgets, operating and capital equipment, and physical space planning.
- Responsible for physical safety and security programs for employees, members, and assets at Travis locations and events, including technology, vendor partnerships, investigations, and continuous improvement.
- Oversees centralized logistical operations of the credit union, including mail processing and delivery, courier services, company-owned vehicles, utility vendors, cleaning, and environmental partnerships.

Skills:

- Understanding of architectural design, building maintenance, and ability to read blueprints.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, tools, PPE, plumbing, electrical, etc.
- Proven experience in successfully managing and executing multiple projects, contracts, negotiations and maintaining strong, positive internal/external business relationships. Proficient in budget management.
- Experience with managing vendors; negotiating sub-contracts; working effectively with owners and property managers in occupying of leased facilities.
- Ability to work in accordance with established safety procedures and guidelines. Familiarity with safety regulations, OSHA standards, and sustainability practices.
- Strong leadership and team-building abilities to promote teamwork, make decisions and take appropriate risks. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership, support, motivation and professional development to assigned staff.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all key stakeholders including, but not limited to staff and vendors.
Supervisory Relationships:

- Reports directly to the SVP, Operations.
- Direct supervisory responsibilities for assigned managers/supervisors.
- Overall supervisory responsibilities for Facilities, Security, and Support Services departments.
Experience and Education:

- BA/BS in Construction Management or related field and or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years work experience with at least 4 years of experience in facilities management.
- Minimum 5 years of prior management or supervisory experience.
Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. Requires travel to all TCU locations, attending meetings and responding to issues during evenings and/or weekends. Travel and overnight stays may be required.
Participation in TCU Driving Program is required. Incumbents will be required to furnish their driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles, proof on insurance and sign an authorization so TCU can obtain records directly from the Department of Motor Vehicles. Subject to any limitations imposed by law, full cooperation with any request for records or request for an authorization to seek such records is required.
Compensation: Base salary starting range: $132,620.80/annually - $163,820.80/annually is commensurate with experience.
