Transdev in Allentown, PA is seeking diligent and detail-oriented Vehicle Cleaners and Utility Workers to maintain the cleanliness of our vehicles and assist in maintenance tasks. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial or auto detailing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle various cleaning products and equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Washes exterior of vehicles using power washer and brushes; sweeps and removes trash from vehicles.
- Detail cleaning and sanitizing of inside of all company vehicles.
- Drives, maneuvers, and parks vehicles.
- Fuels buses, replenishes fluids, and logs and records all fluids used.
- Performs maintenance to shop areas, fueling stations, office and work areas, and related facilities.
- Reports any maintenance issues to Manager.
- Other duties as required.
Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license with a minimum of one year driving experience and a safe driving record.
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must pass a drug test and DOT physical.
Skills and Knowledge Required:
- A minimum of one-year previous experience in janitorial work with an emphasis on detailing vehicles is required.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions in English.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and abide by Material Safety Data Sheets and all other safety training materials provided.
- Ability to learn shop processes including fueling vehicles and cleaning vehicles.
- Ability to mix and use a variety of cleaning products.
- Ability to use a variety of equipment such as buffers, scrubbing machines, and other heavy cleaning equipment.
- Strong attention to details.
Travel Requirement:
- Less than 20%.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must submit to drug testing, physical examination, a criminal background check and a motor vehicle record report.
Physical Demands:
- Less than 10% of work is indoors and in air-conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
- Greater than 90% of work is in a closed garage facility.
- Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand wrist motion, legs, and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
- May be asked to lift and carry up to sixty pounds.
- May be exposed to cleaning chemicals; you have access to safety protective gear.
