Description

DUTIES:

1. Responsible and accountable for daily processing of cash revenue fare boxes for vehicles at the facility.

2. Washing the outside of vehicles both via the automated bus washer system and by hand

3. Daily Cleaning and Full Detailing of vehicles inside and out including Bio-hazards.

4. Fueling all vehicles daily

5. Responsible for moving or positioning a variety of equipment in varied visibility and weather conditions including daylight, at night, rain, fog, heat etc.

6. Responsible for basic shop, janitorial and housekeeping duties (inside the buildings and outside in the bus yard and parking lots)

7.  Other duties as assigned for the efficient operation of the facility.

8.  May need to assist with oil, coolant and other chemical spills in the yard as well as out on the roads.

9.   All other duties as assigned

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

1.      Knowledge of shop safety standards.

2.      Must have a strong commitment to safety.

3.      Must be well organized.

4.      Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing.

5.      Must be self-motivated and able to perform without constant or immediate supervision.

6.      Must be able to work flexible hours or shifts.

7.      Ability to work on a team.

·       Less than 10% of work is accomplished in doors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.

·       Greater than 90% of work is accomplished open garage facility.

·       Performs physical activities that require considerable use of the arms, repetitive hand-wrist motion, and legs and moving the whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. 

·       May be asked to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.

·       May be exposed to cleaning chemicals, you will have access to safety protective gear as well as safety training.
