Job Scope: We are looking for a technician that understands electrical wiring and that knows how to work vehicles.  We Upfit Police, and utility vehicles.  We install lights, replace seats, install Prisoner and K-9 equipment. We are willing to train the right person but needs attention to detail have some general knowledge of automotive repairs. Salary $26-$32 per hr. depending on skill.
Major Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure vehicles are safe for our customers by performing limited repairs & troubleshooting of low voltage electrical systems with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain records of all work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used. Ensure that work orders are completed properly and accurately. Maintain parts usage records.
  • Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken
  • Evaluates completed work prior to release and seeks approval where required.
  • Adhere to Transdev standards, policies and procedures.
  • Moves vehicles safely between job and work area.
  • Repair and maintain all shop equipment.
  • Other responsibilities as requested or required.
Minimum Education & Certifications Required: 
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair (preferred)
Experience & Skills Required: 
  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Adhere to standards set by Transdev.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Comfortable using hand tools.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Maintain an organized shop and clean work environment.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions (include amount of travel): 
  • Maintenance Shop environment with dust, dirt, and grease conditions
  • Ability to work under all weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a crouched position or on back, lying on mechanic’s creeper
