Bridge & Structure Supervisor
NOTE: The following position is for a proposed new/future business within Transdev. Only candidates meeting the work experience requirements will be considered.
The Bridge & Structure Supervisor will oversee the maintenance and inspection of rail bridges and structures. The successful candidate will ensure all rail infrastructure's structural integrity and safety, manage maintenance projects, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards. This position is based in Long Beach, CA.

- Competitive compensation package of minimum $145,000 – maximum $160,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection and Maintenance: Supervise the inspection and maintenance of rail bridges and structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Project Management: Coordinate and oversee repair and rehabilitation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and engineering standards.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports on the condition of structures, maintenance activities, and project progress.
- Vendor Coordination: Work with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality maintenance services.
- Budget Management: Manage budgets for maintenance projects, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and coordinate immediate repairs to ensure the safety and reliability of rail services.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural maintenance, preferably in the rail industry.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of structural engineering, maintenance practices, and regulatory compliance. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications in structural maintenance are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
- Work environment will be a combination of both indoors and outdoors.
