Administrative Clerk

Transdev in San Diego- El Cajon & Chula Vista is hiring a Administrative Clerk. Working under the guidance of the Customer Service, responsible for all aspects the department administrative function. Administrative Clerk provides administrative and analytical support for a variety of operation functions, including organization and data maintenance, Video Retrieval and Customer Service. This position is based in Chula Vista & El Cajon CA in supporting the MTS Contract.

  • Competitive compensation package- $18.00 – 21.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Lost and Found
    • Collect, organize and properly distribute private objects
    • Coordinate donation/destruction process of any unclaimed items
    • Maintain Daily database for Lost and Found items.
  • Clerical Duties
    • Investigate and escalate incident reports
    • Retrieval Videos and provide summary of findings
  • Investigate Complaints
    • Assist with the investigation process for any customer complaints.
  • Cover Receptionist Area for South Bay Administrative Clerk when needed.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, such as GED, required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2 years office experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to speak and write in English
  • Professional, courteous, and effective interpersonal skills when interacting with the public, clients, and internal staff
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints with patience and professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to flexible or varying work schedules
  • Travel requirement (50%): Commute between Chula Vista and El Cajon office as needed

Pre-Employment Requirements: 

  • Must submit to drug testing, and a criminal background check

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • 100% of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities
  • Work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
  • The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
