The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supply procurement oversight, financial analysis, and month-end reports
The position will be based at the TAS division’s office in Phoenix, AZ (Tempe), where we are trailblazing the roll out of Autonomous vehicle operations across the US.

• Competitive compensation package of minimum $85,000– maximum $95,000

Key Responsibilities: 

 

Procurement & vendor management
  • Oversight of supply procurement for TAS
    • Purchasing, bill coding, and invoice management
    • Creation & oversight of pre-authorized purchase orders
    • Overall spend and inventory management
  • Vendor Relationship Management
    • Identifying New Vendors and Facilities
    • Contract renewals management
    • Maintain files on client and vendor contracts, warranties, insurance policies, etc.

 

Account Payable.
  • Research and resolve AP billing issues.
  • Prepare a monthly report reconciling AP invoices with client billings support documentation.
  • Reconcile spend on Company owned accounts and submit reports for approval 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

 

Accounts Receivable
  • Preparation and review of client billings and the required supporting documentation.
  • Ensure client billings are issued timely and accurately
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable (AR) aging and assist with AR cash application questions.

 

Finance
  • Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
  • Present on payroll and invoice related analytics for month-end reporting
  • Prepare month end revenue and expense accruals
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders on operational budgets

 

Other tasks
  • Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve productivity/efficiency
  • Adhere to and ensure all company policies are followed
  • Maintain Transdev’s high standard of safety
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as needed and/or assigned.

 

Required Education and Experience:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting plus 2-3 years of industry experience
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, general accounting, cost controls, and accrual accounting
  • Ability to understand complex billing and job costing concepts
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Excel; ability to create complex spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of automated accounting system, J.D. Edwards System
  • Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is a plus
  • Proficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Drive, including Sheets and Docs);

  • Travel up to 30% of the time
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional standing, walking, and sitting.
  • Long periods of sitting.
  • Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
  • Most work is accomplished indoors.
