• Having clear and concise information and planning prior to the event
• By implementing action plans that encompass each individual role and providing pertinent information in real time.
• By providing strategic and logistical planning of specialized public transportation service, & prioritizing safety.
Special Events and Detour Senior Supervisor Role and Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations within the department, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Monitors and evaluates daily Special Events and Detour Operations activities and employee’s performance including but not limited to on-time statistics, total work and pay hours, customer complaint data, attendance, special events, game day express, detours, stop closures, and other operations related functions that specialized for the Special Events and Detours Department.
• Employee Punch Time Validation.
• Tracks and maintains employee attendance.
• Ensures performance indicators meet or exceed client and corporate expectations. Liquidated damage is kept to a minimum and failures are corrected.
• Responsible for managing the location’s performance, making best practices recommendations, training on technology solutions, and facilitating the implementation of those solutions. These activities, overall, support the improvement of service quality and financial performance of Transdev operations.
• Facilitate communication between departmental teams and other departments to ensure collaboration and alignment with company objectives.
• Mentor and coach team members, providing regular feedback and performance evaluations.
• Recommends and disciplines operations personnel.
• Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve departmental goals.
• Lead recruitment efforts for the department, including interviewing, training, and mentoring.
• Organize, oversee, and delegate all department-specific projects. The Delegation of all Special Events and Detour departmental daily operations will be ensuring that all daily, special events, detour, and game day service task are completed on time and meet quality standards of the department under the leadership/guidance of the Operation Manager-Events.
• Completes necessary daily and/or weekly reports for the Special Events and Detours Department and to the client, to ensure Service/Event Quality.
• Will report to the Operations Manager-Events and be a lead for inter-departmental assignments.
• Must have strong communication and interactions with the client and Transdev upper leadership.
• Embodies the full role and responsibilities of the Operations Manager-Events, if/when the Operations Manager-Event is not present.
• Must maintain an on-call schedule.
• Implement and monitor compliance with company policies, department standard operating procedures and industry regulations to ensure a safe and legal working environment.

• Objectively disseminating client-focused technologies while interactively incepting reliable catalyst for change.
• Design and logistical observation on action planning preparation for Special Events, Game Day Service and Detours.
• Data input and investigation of Additional Service, Game Day Service and Special Event Additional Service Monthly Report.
• Game Day Service leadership oversight.
• Special Event leadership and oversight.
• Detour and Stop Closure investigation, observations, and logistical planning.
• Assist with Special Events, Game Day Service and Detour training courses for all operators and staff.
• Relationship building and management.
• Proactively seeking out and helping to initiate special events and game day service improvement projects.
• Ensure pre-trip inspections comply with performance expectations and vehicles meet appearance standards.
• Help achieve maximized on-time performance and productivity through service adjustments.
• Make regular observations of operators to ensure high quality service provision.
• Ensure that all operators are fit for duty, meet uniform and equipment standards and are in possession of proper licensing and certifications.
• Provide feedback to safety and operations departments on service items that affect safety and performance, identify potential safety hazards, and provide feedback to be incorporated into daily operations procedures.
• Follow company safety and operational rules and procedures.
• Ability to work under stress and meet strict timelines.
• Provide Oversight and issue disciplines as needed.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of Five (5) years of Transportation Road Supervision/Management experience or equivalent
• Must have strong managerial knowledge and expertise.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must maintain a Commercial License (CDL) class B with passenger endorsement.
• Must pass a DMV driving record check and maintain clean driving record throughout employment.
• Must be able to exhibit excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Must be able to operate iPad, cellphone, and personal computer.
• Must be able to exhibit excellent MS Office and e-mail experience. (I.E. Familiarity with excel to maintain tracker algorithms.
• Familiarity with word documents to read and build action plans, detour sheets and company memos.)
Preferred Skills
• Must have other computerize/software tools (I.E. Swiftly, RTC Interactive Map, Orbcad, NDOT Traffic Cameras and Google Maps (I.E. User knowledge to utilize for detour and bus stop ID’s. NDOT Traffic- user knowledge to utilize for level 3 events and reporting observations. Etc.)
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments.
• Ability to work independently and objectively.
• Report writing and team leadership a plus.
• Must be willing to have flexibility with schedule and work in a 24/7 environment, to include weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, federal finger printing and a DOT physical examination.
• Must pass special events, detour, and game day service training.
• Must have excellent attendance record.

This position reports to the Operations Manager-Special Event and is a lead/senior contributor to the overall success of the Special Events, Game Day Service and Detour team.
