Your Part in It:
Working out of our Gothenburg office, we are looking for our next Financial Accountant. Working within the Finance Department, you will manage the financial health of a portfolio of companies within the European Group. You will oversee financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and forecasting while ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and company policies. Reporting to the CFO Europe based in the Netherlands, you will provide financial guidance and play a pivotal role in optimizing financial operations.
FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT
What the Job Entails:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and forecasts in line with Group deadlines.
- Accounts Payable: Processing of trade and non-trade invoices. Preparation of payments file for review and approval. Monthly vendor reconciliations.
- Accounts receivable: Assist the operational team in Customer invoicing and work closely with the Group Financial Shared Services team in AR management.
- Internal Controls: Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Payroll: Prepare the monthly payroll for approval and payment.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow and working capital while optimising liquidity.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage tax filings and payments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, executives, and external stakeholders to provide financial guidance and support decision-making.
- Audit Management: Coordinate and manage financial audits, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
What We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong operational knowledge and analytical skills in financial management.
- Proficiency in financial software tools (CargoWise, Sage preferred but not required).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and Swedish GAAP.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
- Experience working independently and managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Experience working in international financial operations.
- Familiarity with financial practices across Nordic regions.
- Advanced organizational skills to handle diverse responsibilities efficiently.
