We’re on the hunt for an Internal Communications & Design Specialist to join us.   We’ve got a team of around 500 people and we want someone to help us shake up our internal comms landscape and bring our business strategy, stories and how we do things around here to life for our people. You’ll create a plan for how we’ll engage our people through the delivery of vibrant and impactful written, verbal and visual communications - supporting our awesome company culture and ensuring our people understand the impact they have and love the work they’re doing.

Here’s what you can expect from this role: 

* You’ll know all our channels inside out and ensure that we’re using these in the right way to get messaging across to our people
* You’ll think outside the box for different ways our leaders can get their messaging across.
* Own our internal calendar of events, knowing what’s coming up and being proactive with what our engagement strategy is.  
* Support & advise our wider People team with communications relating to processes, opportunities and initiatives, coming up with creative ways to engage, surprise and delight our people.
* Work with our talent team on how they communicate internally and externally - thinking about how we can help attract new talent into Trade Me through traditional and non-traditional ways (e.g. tik-tok).
* Be a key partner to our external comms team, ensuring there are synergies between how we show up internally and externally.
 
What you will bring to our team: 

* An experienced Communications professional (2 or more years), with an internal focus.
* Experience creating compelling visual content - ideally experience in graphic design or similar.
* Experience managing an internal intranet system. 
* The ability to work with all levels of the business from the CEO down.
* Experience working with a number of internal comms tools, as well as embedding them.
* A great communicator, team player and collaborator with the ability to gain the respect and trust of people of all levels of seniority.
* Comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty, an optimistic outlook and positive attitude.  
* Curiosity and the desire to think outside the box on how we engage our people.
