Trade Me’s MotorWeb business is the leading authority on providing vehicle information to the vehicle, insurance and finance industries across Australia and New Zealand. We have an opportunity for an acquisition focused sales executive to join our New Zealand team.         
       
As an experienced senior sales person you’ll own the New Zealand sales strategy and have a high of autonomy and influence over strategic direction.  You'll play a lead role in propelling business growth from interactions with large enterprise customers in the vehicle, insurance, finance, parts and other industries (non-dealer).

Here's what you can expect from this role:        

* You'll develop a deep understanding of MotorWeb, the markets it services, and other competitors and key stakeholders that play in these markets.
* Own and create the strategic sales plan for MotorWeb New Zealand. This includes the documentation of market sizing, TAM/SAM SWOT analysis of current competitors and relevant current product feasibility. 
* Take the lead on key sales initiatives and effectively project manage all internal stakeholders - commercial, product, legal, leadership etc…
* Identify and engage with prospective new investment, partnership and channel partner opportunities for vehicle data. Able to represent both MotorWeb and Trade Me Motors with large vehicle data opportunities - both selling and buying data
* Work closely with the Australian Head of Business Development on trans-tasman opportunities.
* Strategic portfolio planning, product penetration/account planning/mapping and high value customer contact cycle adherence. 
* Support the Head of MotorWeb and Partner Manager with maintaining healthy New Zealand market relationships - suppliers, partners and resellers.
* Identify any risk business and develop solutions to ensure they remain an important client.       
       
What you will bring to our team:        
       
Experience:
* 10+ years' experience in acquisition focused business development and/or sales leadership.
* Experience in leading all aspects of a sales strategy
* Experience navigating large and complex corporate buying centres
* Previous experience selling data as a service and/or digital solutions in the Finance or Insurance markets would be desirable.
* Experience in indirect selling with resellers or channel management.       
       
Critical Competencies:
* Strategic thinking - able to identify and pursue opportunities to take the MotorWeb business in new “green fields” markets 
* Able to identify and engage with prospective investment opportunities, partnerships and sales channels for our B2B and B2C products.
* Excellent communicator, confident, articulated and comfortable presenting detailed information to individuals and large groups.
* A highly effective communicator and collaborator. Able to speak in public forums and conferences about vehicle data
