Hybrid Schedule
The Design Room Assistant will support the development of products and assist in implementing and creating technical packages. The Assistant will also be responsible for the Design Room.
What You’ll Do:
- Complete silhouette sketching (tops, sweaters, bottoms, jackets, dresses, intimates) and detailed technical sketches.
- Work within the PLM system to help input & update Tech Packs, Sketches, and BOM’s
- Coordinate basic layout for artwork pages. EX: Stripes
- Create, organize, and update reference libraries (fabrics, tech packs, development samples, pantones).
- Assist the Designers, Design VP, and Design Directors in daily design processes across all categories.
- Create & publish line sheets via e-mail following our internal processes.
- Research and build shopping skills for our market in Torrid stores and out
- Design Room maintenance (organize samples, presentation room, etc.)
- Other duties and projects as assigned including support to sample team.
What You’ll Need:
- High School Diploma required, Associate or Bachelor Degree in design or equivalent experience preferred.
- One (1) year of design experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Able to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment.
- Possesses strong organizational time management skills.
- Excellent sense of urgency and consistency.
- Plus size experience preferred but not required.
- Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly.
- Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator.
- Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure.
- Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues.

Salary range: $18.68 - $22.02
