As Torrid's Senior UX Designer your primary focus will be on the customer experience across our native iOS and Android apps. You will help shape and deliver intuitive, engaging mobile shopping experiences across the ecommerce journey.
Assignment Duration: 6 Months
 
What You’ll Do:  
  • Lead UX design for native iOS and Android experiences across key areas of the ecommerce journey, including navigation, search, product discovery, product detail, cart, checkout, account, and post-purchase experiences.
  • Translate customer needs, business objectives, data, and product requirements into intuitive and effective user experiences.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and other design artifacts needed to communicate and validate experiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers throughout the product development lifecycle, from discovery and design through development, testing, and launch.
  • Work within and contribute to established design systems and mobile design patterns to create consistent experiences across platforms.
  • Use customer feedback, usability testing, analytics, experimentation, and other insights to identify opportunities and improve existing experiences.
  • Design with accessibility and platform-specific iOS and Android conventions in mind.
  • Clearly communicate design rationale, tradeoffs, and recommendations to cross-functional partners and stakeholders.
  • Work effectively within an Agile product development environment and manage multiple initiatives while maintaining a high quality of design.
  • Partner with engineering during implementation to ensure the delivered experience aligns with the intended design and customer experience.
What You’ll Need:
  • 3–5 years of professional UX/Product Design experience in a corporate or product organization.
  • Demonstrated experience designing native iOS and Android mobile applications.
  • Experience designing digital experiences within retail, ecommerce, or another high-volume consumer environment.
  • Strong understanding of mobile UX principles, interaction patterns, and platform conventions across iOS and Android.
  • Experience designing end-to-end customer experiences, from initial discovery through production and launch.
  • Strong proficiency with Figma and modern UX/UI design tools and practices.
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity designs, and interactive prototypes.
  • Experience working with product managers, engineers, and other cross-functional partners in an Agile environment
