Essential Functions
  • Assist Department Manager with managing workflow to meet planned units/cartons per hour, cost per unit, level of service and accuracy standards.
  • Supervise your functional areas to ensure all Key Performance metrics are achieved; develop daily plan, monitor results, initiate changes to ensure daily goals are achieved.
  • Delegate tasks, train & monitor associate performance to meet and exceed productivity, accuracy, quality, safety, attendance goals in accordance with SOP’s.
  • Optimize department operations by ensuring the correct staffing levels each day, provide feedback to Manager regarding labor capacity and workload leveling.
  • Support & create a culture of consistency, fairness & inclusiveness for associates.
  • Lead start up shift meeting.
  • Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong work ethic, critical thinker, and excellent attention to detail (quality of work).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be comfortable working in a distribution environment.
  • Must be flexible with schedule rotation based on business needs.
  • Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash-flow management.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees.
Desired Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of supervisory distribution service experience.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (Microsoft Office Suite) required.
 
Work Environment:
This job is an onsite position located at the Torrid Ohio Distribution Center.
This role generally requires 40+ hours per week; however, hours may vary based on workflow.
Physical Requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation) 
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend and lift/move up to ten pounds.  May lift/move up to thirty pounds occasionally.
 
Travel Requirements:
This position may require minimal travel.
