Under the direction of the Telecommunications Supervisor, the Senior Telecommunications Technician is responsible for installations, repairs and maintenance of various types of telecommunication equipment for all corporate locations.

Core Competencies

Designs, plans and organizes the installation, modification, testing, repair and maintenance of telecommunications systems and associated equipment.
Installs and makes change in telephone service.
Installs cable, connectors, blocks, etc, to insure a complete working system.
Installs modems, faxes and computer lines.
Performs installations of telecommunications servers, manages associated equipment and works with carriers to troubleshoot solutions and identify cost savings efficiencies.
Performs all adds, moves and changes.
Manages and monitors moves, adds, and changes on telecommunications servers and associated equipment and other duties as assigned by management.
Maintains inventory and status on all telecommunications equipment including spare inventory for patient room and Medical Center phones.
Notifies Supervisor when repair stock is low.
Ensures that the system works at all times, responds to emergency calls to keep it functioning, and notifies the supervisor of any and all abnormalities.
Notifies Supervisor of all alarms.
