Description
| Serves as the lead publications and community relations person in the Foundation. Also assist the Public Relations Department with special projects. |
Core Competencies |
- Acts as Community Relations liaison for donations/gifts from Torrance Memorial Medical Center to community recipients, letters, processing of checks, maintain budget sheet, etc.
- Negotiates with printing contractors to obtain the best price and quality for Foundation printed materials.
- Solicits sponsors for Holiday festival and Golf Tournament Program book.
- Schedules and coordinates mailings associated with Health Care Foundation and Hospice.
- Processes all Memorial donations for Hospice and Health Care Foundation in Raiser’s Edge and prepares acknowledgement letters.
- Processes event ticketing, reservations, sponsorships, gifts, etc., as well as Silent Auction and In-Kind Raiser’s Edge entries.
- Acts as Liaison for Light Up a Life – Processes all Light Up a Life donations in Raiser’s Edge. Coordinates and assists Hospice Office with acknowledgement letters, printed materials and program book; attends meetings, rehearsals and works event.
- Acts as Liaison for Memories of Mother Tea event in May –assists Public Relations and Hospice with coordination of printed materials, mailing, advertising, program book, banners, etc.
- Provides assistance to Public Relations with various projects. Attends weekly Public Relations’ meetings, acting in the capacity of Health Care Foundation liaison, as well as part time Public Relations team member.
- Proofs and edits print materials, thank you letters and other miscellaneous written correspondence for both Foundation and Public Relations.
- Originates and composes correspondence, reports and forms which require word processing knowledge and expertise.
- Establishes, maintains and revises record keeping and filing systems.
- Accepts and screens telephone calls on the main office line and routes calls appropriately. Sends meeting notices for Foundation Executive Committee Meetings and Foundation Board meetings. Prepares agendas and meeting materials. Corresponds with Foundation Board as necessary.
- Takes minutes at the Foundation meetings. Seeks approval from speakers and mails out to Board members within three weeks of each meeting.
- Proofs and edits drafts for Health Care Foundation publications, programs, etc, in preparation for printing final copy.
- Works with Public Relations on all event invitations, fliers, and opportunity tickets.
- Works with advertisers and donors in preparation of the Golf Tournament program book and Holiday Festival Program book. Coordinates all aspects of these program books from start to finish with ad designer and printer. Seeks approval from Public Relations and Foundation staff members.
- Processes donations through Raiser's Edge recording and sends acknowledgements.

Compensation Range: $28.98 - 44.39 / Hour |
