Description

Represents HealthLinks and Health Education with emphasis on identifying and meeting customers' need for health-related resources, products and services, and community resources. Heavily supports the operations of the uniform program.

Core Competencies

  • Provides daily staffing of HealthLinks store front. Greets and assists customers.

  • Develops familiarity with product lines of the Medical Center and how they relate to products and services offered in Health Links.

  • Stocks, replenishes and maintains sales area.

  • Packages complementary products and services to promote sales.

  • Assists with reorders, receives and tickets products.

  • Operates point of sales system and remains current with changes and updates.

  • Assists with new displays to promote Medical Center departments and community events and national health observances based on Health Links calendar.

  • Creates adjunctive marketing materials ie shelf talkers, visitor suggestion book, labels for bags and giveaways, mailing list collection.

  • Processes departmental invoices and prepares for submission to accounting.

  • Develops thorough knowledge of hospital, Health Links, and community resources to assist Health Links patrons for appropriate information and referral.
