Description
| The Unit Secretary works cooperatively with all members of the health care team in performing clerical and receptionist duties and assists clinical personnel with nonclinical duties. |

Department Specific Competencies |
- Uses proper phone etiquette. Answers phones in a timely manner and ascertains needs and routes accordingly.
- Orders and maintains all unit inventory; including forms, office supplies and drug testing materials.
- In conjunction with the nursing staff, determines and maintains the inventory of unit supplies used in direct patient care. This includes regular communication with staff to determine par levels and preferred supplies for optimal patient care.
- Completes work left from previous shift and reports any incomplete work at the end of the shift to ensure continuity.

| This position will work across two sub-departments: Pre-Op and Pretesting. Weekend availability required. |
