Coordinates the technical activities of the Nuclear Medicine Department, providing technical expertise for Technologists under the general supervision of the Radiologists.

Uses the appropriate hand off communication techniques (SBAR) when bringing patients to and from the department. Demonstrates ability to problem solve equipment failure, clerical error, and interdepartmental conflicts. Advance skilled Technologist able to work with minimal supervision. Exhibits working relationships that are characterized by mutual support, open communication, trust and respect. Supports co-workers when required by teaching/training new procedures, equipment usage and proper technique. Recognizes and performs duties which need to be performed although not directly assigned. Reports equipment malfunction to the proper personnel, initiates service or notifies Bio-medical Engineering department. Reports to supervisor any suggestions to increase productivity or quality of work. Accepts personal accountability for maintaining a safe work environment. Speaks up when others are taking safety risks. Follows rules designed for personal protection and environmental safety, including safe use of equipment. Understands and can carry out their role in department and organizational emergency and disaster plans in a prompt and effective manner.
