Description
| The Minimum Data Set (MDS) Assessment Coordinator is responsible for conducting and coordinating the development and completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument as defined by HCFA. This position is responsible to ensure that all requirements for comprehensive assessments are completed. The MDS Coordinator participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team. The MDS Coordinator prepares the written MDS for inputting to electronic system for submission to the State and Federal government. |

Additional Information | |
| • One year experience in skilled or home health care/hospice setting ;• Completion of RAI course and demonstration of working knowledge of the MDS/RAI process ;• Knowledge of BBA1997, OBRA1987 and Title 22 State of California regulations ;• Competent in use of computer software applications applicable to job, e.g. Microsoft NT, Microsoft Office, MDS systems ;• Knowledgeable in ICD-10 coding | |
