Ecommerce Project Manager

As an Ecommerce Project Manager, you will be responsible for guiding our customers through their eCommerce website projects that result in growth of sales and opportunities for their businesses. . You will be responsible for planning, executing and evaluating advanced eCommerce website development projects according to predetermined processes, timelines, budgets, and best practices.


  • Knowledge with eCommerce website design, user experience, and website development best practices and terminology
  • Experience leading Ecommerce web projects from start to finish
  • Basic understanding of HTML5/CSS3 and the ability to make minor changes to HTML markup without the assistance of a WYSIWYG editor
  • Familiarity with open-source e-commerce platforms, specifically Magento 1 and 2
  • Working understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) best practices and experience using Google Analytics
  • Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in team-oriented, collaborative environments
  • Proven organization and time management skills
  • Flexibility and ability to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities

A little about you that makes you a great candidate

  • At least 2 years in a relevant project management role, preferably in online marketing/e-commerce
  • Experience managing the implementation and feature selection of Magento 2.0 websites
  • Excellent customer service, communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Basic-to-advanced understanding of various eCommerce Platforms: Shopify/WooCommerce/Magento
  • You have experience with inventory management software
  • Database or MySQL experience. Whether you have worked specifically within the database or prepared data for an import/export
  • Strong understanding of web technologies, such as HTML/CSSJavaScript
  • Experience with best practices, such as Agile, Waterfall, etc
  • Excellent organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain project histories, estimates, briefs, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • You never stop learning. The online marketing world moves fast so you’ll need to keep up with industry blogs and trends and be open to collaborating with other departments

Not required, but awesome if you have:

  • Previous work experience at a digital agency
  • Proficiency with tools like MavenLink, Basecamp and Trello
  • Magento 2 Solution Specialist Certification or plans on working towards it
  • Google GAIQ Certification
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) ® certification or goals to work towards it
