Role
Purpose:

We are seeking an experienced Release & Environment Management Analyst for a significant inflight programme of change to transform TMHCC’s policy administration capability to be fit for purpose to support our growing and diverse business. This role is pivotal to successfully deliver the programme and ensure it is safely transitioned to BAU.

 

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in similar previous roles and be outcomes driven. In addition, it is essential candidates can balance the urgency of rapidly delivering new and or enhanced solutions while ensuring the ongoing safe operation of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrable experience in effective configuration, release and environment management for multi-tier technology estates
  • Experience with technical deployments of database (MSSQL) and application deployments predominantly on Windows infrastructure (IIS, .Net)
  • Experience in introducing automated release management capabilities
  • Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, with vendor management experience an advantage
  • Engage with the various project managers and Test Lead to coordinate planned outage and environment refreshes
  • Able to relay complex information clearly and simply, and adjust style as required for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to absorb new concepts and information quickly.

 

Skills and Experience Specification:

 

  • Robust knowledge of different methodologies and best practice across each stage of the SDLC with experience of applying this at scale in different contexts and organisations.
  • Able to Install and configure .Net Applications and Web Applications on Windows Servers
  • Use Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio to manage databases, permissions backups and running SQL scripts.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures/documentation for deployments and troubleshooting.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
  • Experience supporting web applications and related technologies
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement in a multi-disciplined IT environment
  • Nice to have: Working knowledge of Microsoft solutions, including knowledge Cloud-based solutions (DaaS, IaaS, and PaaS).
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of deploying solutions to cloud-based providers such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services using DevOps.
  • Nice to have: Experience in the Insurance Industry
