As an Underwriting Assistant, based in our Barcelona office, you will form part of a dynamic team of professionals that focus on developing our Financial Lines business. You will directly report to the Financial Lines Manager and perform traditional administrative tasks, as well as supporting the team’s business development goals. You will be key in helping to build profitable relationships with brokers and insureds and your role will fully support and comply with the company’s objectives and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Credit control management
- Problem-solving accounting/system issues on complex submissions
- Request new submission entries to centralized admin team
- Back-up for Underwriter to quote and bind
- E-folders completion (excluding worksheets)
- Liaise with marketing for local events/Christmas gifts etc.
- Update CRM info in Outlook contacts
- Draft presentations for Underwriters
- Prepare reports for Underwriters’ meetings/trips
- Coordinate International Insurance Programs via the iCede platform
Requirements:
- (BA or MA) Degree
- Native German and fluent in English (high level) a must
- Experience in administrative position
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint (Expert level)
- Knowledge of PEGA a plus
