About the Opportunity


TMHCC is amid an IT transformation and is shifting towards a Product-centric operating model, whilst increasing the maturity of the IT Service Management capabilities. This new role will be a crucial part of the team facilitating positive change to the TMHCC organisation manging our datacentre and developing our cloud capabilities based on industry best practices.

Job Purpose:


The purpose of this role:

The Hosting & Cloud Platforms Lead is responsible for the day-to-day technical management of the IT infrastructure (e.g. data centres, servers, storage, , cloud) for TMHCCI line managing a team of up to 4. This role will interact with various IT teams across TMHCC subsidiaries with focus on operational performance, service levels, incident management and problem resolution. Reporting to the Head of Hosting & Cloud the Hosting & Cloud Platforms Lead responsibilities include optimizing team performance, technical ownership, and leadership of Infrastructure & Cloud services, improving processes and procedures, management of the currency and security protection of the infrastructure, supporting audit activities, managing, and recovering from business impacting issues, and proactive prevention of production incidents. The individual must have experience of working as part of a global Infrastructure supporting on premise and cloud datacentres with a team first mentality.



Responsibilities & Key Tasks:






  • Oversee the TMHCC and TME and associated HCC International companies. Responsible for the availability and performance & capacity of servers, storage, and backup solutions within the Data Centres or Cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate on the design and delivery of projects supporting cloud strategy, data centre moves/closures; ensuring solutions are ‘designed for service’ in the Production environment.
  • Responsible for precise and cost-effective management of cloud services, when appropriate, and on-premises data centres.
  • Management of agreed service level and operating level agreements proactively protecting adherence through actions taken on the back of MI on performance of the infrastructure estate utilising other technology teams as required.
  • Assist in the planning, preparation, development, and successful execution of departmental budgets. To include the management, reviewing and negotiating of vendor contracts.
  • Establish performance management and professional development as a priority and ensure that managers and staff are working together on development goals.
  • Responsible for the team skill levels required to support the infrastructure estate as well as any changes to the infrastructure estate.
  • Responsible for effective resource utilisation within area of ownership managing priorities across locations accordingly.
  • Actively promotes the core values of the company within the organization.
  • Collaborate to build and manage a disaster recovery plan in support of an overall business continuity program.
  • Maintain and grow partner resource relationships.
  • Work beyond scheduled hours as required providing out of hours support in incident situations.
  • Ensure that all infrastructure components are managed to the appropriate level of risk with respect to security patches, software/firmware revision levels and supplier supported versions.
  • Agree infrastructure standards and optimise savings through compliant procurement of compliant products, in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, regional technology Heads and Global Procurement.
  • Handle additional related projects as necessary.


Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Familiar with Agile \ Dev Ops methodologies
  • At least 5+ years working in an Infrastructure Operations Team supporting AWS, Azure and on-premises Infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of server operating systems, with emphasis on Microsoft Windows, including domain structures, Active Directory, system administration, and Windows Terminal Server.
  • Technology management skills to take responsibility for the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance, and effective use of IT infrastructure components and monitors their performance.
  • At least 5 - 7 years leading design and support of enterprise-level IT infrastructure.
  • Practical knowledge of ITIL application processes and implementation.
  • Experience working in companies going through significant change.
  • Sound working knowledge of VMWare, looking for 3-5 years plus knowledge, and building and maintaining Virtual environments.
  • Server Hardening and vulnerability patching skills including using SCCM and other patching tools.
  • Experience with key controls pertaining to IT infrastructure management.
  • Proven experience in leading through times of significant change.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior Infrastructure role across global locations;

Useful –


  • Experience of implementing CI / CD
  • Azure, AWS or VMWare qualifications
  • Experience with industry leading Monitoring tools such as VRops, VRA & cloud Monitoring solutions.
  • Knowledge of Infrastructure hardware including hyperconverged technologies and traditional 3 tier.
  • Vrealize Automation and Orchestration would be advantageous.
  • ITIL accredited is desirable
  • Experience with Ansible or other automation platforms for automation and configuration management

  • Willingness to travel to Houston, Europe, and India.
