The Role:  
As a Corporate Communications Specialist, you will develop content for a variety of internal and external communications channels to drive our company’s story, engage our stakeholders, and help articulate key business messages. In this role, you will demonstrate the power that great communications can bring to a company, project or initiative, while working with subject matter experts from across our business.   

Content development:  

  • Execute on the content strategy for and The Port (intranet), working with Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager and Global Marketing Leader to articulate core corporate messages through digital channels, in line with our brand guidelines. 
  • Collaborate with and support our business and marketing colleagues to develop and/or source meaningful content for the TMHCC website, The Port (intranet), social media (LinkedIn), email blasts, presentations, video, press releases and more. 
  • Support with the planning, research, writing, and editing of internal and external communications through a variety of channels. 
  • Develop an internal network to source information and success stories from the business to communicate through internal channels using basic interview techniques and researching secondary sources for information. 
  • Proof and edit content from other areas of the business as requested to ensure proper grammar and punctuation usage, as well as ensuring that the message is consistent, in line with the position of the business, and brand guidelines. 


  • Assist in the continuous improvement and evolution of the design, content and user experience for the TMHCC corporate website. 
  • Suggest and implement digital content strategies (like search engine optimization) to increase traffic, improve navigation, and enhance the user experience for 
  • Identify feedback methods for, as well as ways to track and measure, the success of communication efforts, particularly as it relates to website enhancements and improvements. 
  • Work cross-functionally to support our business and marketing colleagues with content development and digital marketing strategy for other domains as requested. 
  • Create and maintain content for The Port (intranet) by collaborating with our business and marketing colleagues. 
  • Serve as a content subject matter expert for our internal “superusers.” 
  • Actively seek out internal news, human interest stories, accolades and achievements, and other notable facts to create content for The Port (intranet). 
  • Suggest and implement digital content to increase traffic, improve navigation and promote ongoing readership of The Port (intranet). 

Communications, Marketing and Project Management Support: 

  • Support the Corporate Communications and Marketing Manager on internal and external communications and campaigns. Provide content as required. 
  • Support and sometimes lead projects on behalf of Corporate Communications and Marketing. 
  • Provide support for social media content for the Marketing teams. 
  • Work closely with and support the business on project implementation through the use of communications and change management strategies. 
  • Maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues. 
  • Travel domestically and internationally, as needed (and when safe to do so), to support the business.
