What you will get to do:
TiVo OS, smart TV, and in-car entertainment systems give a best-in-industry customized video experience, giving customers access to multiple video sources, including their favourite streaming services and on-demand content in one unified portal.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement new features in frontend applications, focusing on client–server communication and handling complex API integrations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Node.js or another backend language.
- Collaborate with frontend, backend, QA, and Product Owner teams.
- Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase.
- Participate in code reviews and learn coding best practices.
- Learn the architecture and development processes used by the team.
Who we are looking for:
Must have:
- 2+ years of commercial software development experience
- Good knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
- Basic hands-on experience with Node.js or another backend language.
- Practical knowledge of AI-based tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot).
- Basic experience with automated testing using Jest or a similar framework.
- Solid understanding of good coding practices (e.g., linting).
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Understanding of REST APIs and common software development practices.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
- Basic knowledge of UNIX-based systems.
- Good spoken and written English (minimum B2 level).
- Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take responsibility for assigned tasks.
- Curious and analytical mindset – eager to understand why things work, not just if they work.
- Strong communication skills and openness to collaboration.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the React library for web development including client state library like Redux.
- Solid knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3/SCSS.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
