About the role:  

We are seeking an experienced Director, Business Development with a robust understanding of the global TV landscape and a successful track record working with top US retail channels. In this role, you will be responsible for leading TiVo OS ecosystem engagements with US retailers.  

   

With an award-winning content-first experience, global content provider scale and profitable partnership model, TiVo OS is the ultimate independent Smart TV operating system. This is an exciting opportunity to join Xperi’s Smart TV Media Platform Team as we expand our TiVo OS partner portfolio and global footprint. While collaborating with Xperi’s global teams, you will work with key US retailers to drive TiVo OS adoption and scale within the Smart TV market.  

   

Responsibilities:  

  • Retail Relationships: Establish and grow relationships with key US retailers to position TiVo OS as a leading TV OS in the US market.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Build strong collaboration and communication across Xperi leadership and departments, including Sales, Legal, Product, Marketing, Engineering, and Content, to support partner engagements.
  • Ecosystem Strategy: Regularly analyze market and partner data to identify opportunities and refine TiVo OS ecosystem strategy.
  • Iterative Partnership Models: Continuously adapt business models based on partner feedback and market dynamics.

Who we are looking for:  

  • 10+ years of experience in the Consumer Electronics industry, preferably within the TV product category.
  • 5+ years of Business Development experience.
  • Extensive retail execution experience and a deep understanding of associated commercial models.
  • Expert knowledge of TV OS and CTV markets is an advantage.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to clearly articulate product value proposition.
  • Proficiency in conducting competitive analysis and utilizing data to drive strategy.
  • Experience thriving in distributed team settings spanning multiple time zones.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $149,434 - $198,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits, and can vary if outside of this location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, competencies, experience, market demands, internal parity, and relevant education or training.
