Job Summary: 
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Jira/Confluence Administrator with 4-7 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Jira environments, scripting, and working with APIs. This role requires a willingness to work in shifts to ensure continuous support and availability of our Jira systems. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Manage and maintain Jira and Confluence environments, including configuration, upgrades, and performance tuning.
  • Develop custom scripts and automations using Jira Script runner, Groovy, or other scripting languages to enhance Jira functionality.
  • Utilize Jira APIs to integrate with other tools and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and automation.
  • Provide technical support to Jira users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems efficiently.
  • Configure and customize Jira workflows, fields, screens, and permissions to meet the needs of various departments.
  • Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 4yrs of hands-on experience in administering JIRA and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Groovy, Python) and experience with Jira Script runner. 
  • Strong understanding of Jira REST APIs and experience in integrating Jira with other tools. 
  • Familiarity with different hosting such as Cloud based and AWS Data Center environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support users across various departments. 
  • Willingness to work in shifts and participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
  • Any Atlassian certification or its equivalent is a plus.
