The Server Engineering QE team is responsible for testing the TiVo Service. TiVo Service is a collection of web services that provide various data services to Set Top Box as well as Web and Mobile clients. Some of the services provides include video on demand, program metadata, provisioning and entitlement function, advertising, delivering Program Guide Data and much more for both US and our international deployments.
We are looking for a Sr. QE Manager who is passionate about quality and will drive product quality of the TiVo Service focused around testing the functionality, resiliency and stability of TiVo service.


• Manage an incredible group of talented QE engineers
• Execute and deliver a quality product by ensuring the complete testing of all new development initiatives
• Develop and manage Testing schedules
• Track testing progress and report on issues
• Manage the end-to-end test effort of projects and mitigate risks along the way
• Using your strong technical skills work with the team to develop innovative approaches to testing
• Establish quality metrics and goals and drive towards meeting these goals
• Provide leadership in maintaining & suggesting feature enhancements to existing test automation frameworks
• Strategies proactively test aspects that can be automated with a strong focus on RoI of such activities
• Take ownership of all aspects of testing and champion Quality during all phases of project
• Collaborate with Development and Program Management teams to ensure a successful delivery of projects


Must Have Skills:

• At least 12+ years of experience in Software Testing
• At least 4 years of Software QE management experience leading QE teams
• A track record of testing and delivering a quality product
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies (Black box, White Box) and test tools
• Good knowledge of programming languages. Experience in Java/Python is a must
• Experience in testing functional and non-functional aspects of web services
• Experience testing Highly scalable and highly available applications
• Experience managing teams made up of employees and contractors from partner companies
• Proven ability to manage and lead change and introduce process improvement
• Hands-on experience in test plan and test cases creation, test execution, bugs filing, and bugs troubleshooting and monitoring.
• Working experience in CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, Jira, Quality metrics, Test case Management tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience required
