Position Description:
We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to support software quality assessment and testing efforts. The candidate will analyze system requirements, develop evaluation and test plans, conduct data collection and analysis, and report results. This role also includes managing test activities, assigning tasks, setting priorities, and providing guidance and support to the test team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze system requirements to develop test plans, procedures, and traceability matrices.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, validation, and compliance testing.
- Automate test activities using automated test tools.
- Document and verify software discrepancies and fixes.
- Collaborate with software development teams to understand requirements for effective testing.
- Evaluate web-based GUIs and API endpoints against defined requirements.
- Prepare and present test results during Test Readiness Reviews prior to deployment cycles.
- Ensure quality and consistency of test artifacts, including test cases, scripts, and data.
- Support Agile software development processes.
- Manage the test team, assign tasks, monitor progress, and provide guidance.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with software development methodologies.
- Familiarity with Confluence and Jira.
- Ability to consolidate and analyze findings to prepare comprehensive test reports.
- Experience creating standard test artifacts, including test strategies, plans, traceability matrices, procedures, and reports.
- Strong troubleshooting and defect documentation skills.
Physical Requirements:
- This position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time. Essential functions include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
