Position Description:

We are seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to support the implementation of Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities as part of a broader Zero Trust Architecture initiative. This role requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise, familiarity with modern authentication/authorization frameworks, and a deep understanding of secure systems integration.

The selected candidate will provide systems engineering and technical support across various aspects of ICAM design, deployment, and documentation. You will work with cross-functional teams to assess, integrate, and enhance ICAM solutions in accordance with government standards and Zero Trust mandates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide systems engineering and technical support for integration and Zero Trust alignment
  • Work with technologies including REST APIs, OAuth, SAML, Oracle/MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and NiFi
  • Assist in system configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities
  • Research technical topics and emerging standards relevant to Zero Trust
  • Support architecture and design documentation, technical strategy, and planning activities
  • Develop and maintain program documentation, including:
    • Release notes, installation and user guides
    • Technical frameworks and SOPs
    • Architecture plans, strategy documents, and risk mitigation assessments
  • Collaborate with teams to assess and integrate solutions
  • Create advisory documentation to support capability planning and installation

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and technical acumen
  • Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (RMF), security testing, and vulnerability management
  • Understanding of high-availability and scalable architectures across multi-zone/cloud environments
  • Experience developing and maintaining documentation for large-scale systems
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle and methodologies
  • Ability to analyze requirements, conduct system reviews, and contribute to CONOPS and architecture development
  • Strong communication skills – able to interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Proficient with JIRA and Confluence
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with software developers, system administrators, and test engineers
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision and in a customer-focused environment

Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must hold an active clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • 7 years of professional experience

  • This position involves sedentary work with physical requirements expected for at least 50% of the time. Essential functions include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and talking.
