What You’ll Do as a Project Engineer:
- Assist Owner’s Reps and the Director of Construction in all phases of construction to support successful project completion.
- Communicate schedule and quality status to Owner’s Rep; ensure consistency and contract compliance on room dimensions, finishes, and more.
- Maintain updated and accurate plans at all times, including all revisions and addendums.
- Identify and report work deficiencies in writing to on-site personnel and the Owner’s Rep.
- Help coordinate owner vendors and subcontractors, and attend inspections and meetings with construction personnel.
- Represent Thompson Thrift during required inspections and relay relevant information to the Project Manager.
- Generate incomplete work lists prior to turnover and participate in final walk-throughs for unit acceptance.
- Assist in completing punch work and support turnover of keys to property management.
- Complete special projects for the Owner’s Rep and Director of Construction.
Our Ideal Candidate for this Role:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction or Architecture.
- Experience: 2+ years in construction management.
- Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Acrobat Pro; ability to read and interpret construction plans and assemblies.
- Travel: Willingness to travel for overnight trips (up to 50%).
