Summer 2025 – Graphic Design Intern
Thompson Thrift is excited to offer a dynamic internship opportunity for a Graphic Design Intern in our Indianapolis office for Summer 2025. As a Graphic Design Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience working with our talented internal teams and external vendors to bring marketing materials to life. You’ll play a key role in the production and execution of graphic materials, packaging, displays, advertising projects, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in formatting artwork and ensuring print quality standards are met.
- Collect, process, and organize files for print and digital production.
- Collaborate closely with our in-house Art Director to fulfill marketing materials.
- Ensure all materials align with Thompson Thrift’s brand guidelines.
- Complete tasks on deadline with a strong focus on detail and quality.
What You’ll Learn:
- Gain hands-on experience in both print production processes and digital design techniques.
- How to manage vendor relationships and source external print jobs.
- The latest trends in production techniques and tools like Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator).
- Utilize project management software to organize and track daily tasks, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field with substantial coursework in design, layout, and prepress.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design through school projects, yearbook, journalism, or previous internships.
- Strong attention to detail and a clear understanding of design principles.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) and familiarity with prepress processes.
- A passion for creativity and a drive to succeed in a corporate design environment.
About the Program:
Our full-time, 12-week internship program runs from May to August and is designed to offer you hands-on experience, meaningful connections, and significant growth opportunities:

- Site Visit to a multifamily residential property to see projects in action.
- Participation in the TT Intern Serve event, collaborating with a local partner to positively impact our community.
- Cross-departmental meetings to understand the various facets of Thompson Thrift’s operations.
