THE VOID is a fast growing company, and we are seeking talented 3D modelers who can create compelling characters, textures, lighting, and/or environments. The ideal candidate is someone who is detail-oriented, organized, creative, motivated, and flexible. Your art will be appreciated by millions of people around the world.   • Build the geometry of organic and inorganic characters, objects, and environments
  • Character creation of both realistic and stylized figures
  • Complete complex and detailed models with some characters coming close to 500,000 polygons
  • Show an interest in opportunities to innovate modeling creation across multiple teams within THE VOID and implement new ideas/technologies/solutions, seeing them to completion
  • Be willing to learn and teach new tools and techniques
  • Collaborate with Designers, Programmers, and other members of the art team
  • Be meticulous and organized in the approach to tasks, adhering to pipeline workflow
  • Participate in the critiquing of your work and the work of others
  • Work with other artists to optimize assets for performance
  • Understand the limits dictated by programming staff or project leads


  • 4+ years of experience in 3D modeling, character, lighting, texture, and/or environments
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred
  • Strong skills in creating realistic art - please provide a link to portfolio on resume
  • Strong technical skills in working with Maya, Photoshop, and ZBrush
  • Experience with Substance, Marvelous Designer, and similar tools is preferred
  • Experience in prototyping and working closely with multi-disciplinary teams consisting of technical artists, artists, and engineers
  • Strong knowledge of emerging industry standard tools, workflows, and techniques including physically-based rendering
  • Experience in Unity3D is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrates an understanding of human anatomy, clothing construction (wrinkle behavior), proportion, silhouette and topology and how it relates to rendering and deformation
