Duties:

  • Responsible for fulfilling the end users requests for goods and services from the ROMHC warehouses.
  • Responsible for receiving and registering all incoming shipments and inspecting the shipments to ensure there is no visible damage.
  • Responsible for the loading and unloading of all shipments in and out of the designated facilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring the received commodities are processed according to ROHCG’s Policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all discrepancies are rectified, and prepare all goods for shipment.
  • Responsible for rejecting any shipment that does not comply with WHMIS or Dangerous Goods legislation.
  • Responsible for ensuring all documentation to effect a proper shipment is annotated accurately.
  • The Stores Clerk may be tasked with the processing of all inventory requisitions received from customers within ROHCG.
  • The Stores Clerk may be tasked with the delivery and pick-up of commodities to Royal Ottawa Place (ROP) or other locations (i.e. local suppliers.)
  • Responsible for ensuring Hazardous products are properly labelled as per WHMIS criteria and maintaining MSDS updates.
  • Works in a manner that is in compliance with staff and patient/client safety practices, policies and procedures of The Royal.
  • Ensures a work environment that is conducive to the Royal’s Harassment-Free Workplace policy.
  • The Stores Clerk may be tasked to replenish all carts (Isolation, PPE, Crash, Comfort etc.)

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Warehouse environment is required.
  • Minimum of 1-year data entry experience in a computerized SCM environment is required.
  • Proficient in computer skills, i.e. Word, Excel, Data Entry, Internet, Outlook.
  • Valid Driver’s license is required.
  • WHMIS and Health and Safety training is required.
  • Demonstrated experience at providing enhanced Customer Service.
  • Demonstrated experience at functioning in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written.
  • Enhanced interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload.
  • Must have ability to cope with physical demands associated with this position. (i.e. prolonged standing and walking. Frequent lifting and pushing, on average 40 to 60 lbs).
  • English level A- is mandatory in oral expression, oral comprehension, reading and writing. Bilingual (French/English) is considered an asset.   

Salary Range: $24.00 to  $26.31 per hour
