WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Assistant Art Director will be an integral part of our Creative Team. The Assistant Art Director is responsible for the overall event look and feel, as well as build-drawings and other deliverables associated with event design. You will be required to liaise and engage with vendors as necessary to accomplish all of these deliverables and work within the agency's team with both full time and freelance resources as necessary.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in-house to build 3D models for custom fabrications
  • Create floor plans
  • Source props and decor
  • Create Mood Boards
  • Be available to work with short deadlines and quick turnaround times
  • Assist with the implementation of the overall look/feel for events
  • Technical drawings for build and other custom elements
  • Input as requested by producer to maintain consistent look/feel across all aspects of event production
  • Onsite artistic direction to ensure accurate concept implementation and vision

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • Must be fluent in SketchUp, Cinema 4D, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator
  • Must have a Portfolio displaying work examples of previous projects
  • Examples of CAD or sketch drawings, custom fabrications, floorplans, scenic designs
  • Understanding of brand identity and how to weave it into creative work appropriately.
  • Architectural, Environmental, Industrial and Graphic Design experience is a plus
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong written and verbal interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience coordinating activities with other artistic and creative individuals
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a wide range of clients
  • Time management skills with regards to deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate with others and work well on a team
  • Display a positive attitude in all interactions with internal and external teams.
  • Flexibility and willingness to assist colleagues with projects and tasks outside of job requirements.

HOW WE’LL TAKE CARE OF YOU

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The rate for this role is up to $70.00 per hour. Our rates are based on third-party national average market compensation analysis. The actual salary is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The rate is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Physical Requirements - Onsite

Individuals will be required to sit for the majority of the day and will be required to stand as needed. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required.  Individuals will be required to travel via airplane, train, taxi, car and/or other means of transportation as needed.
