WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Registration Manager serves as the lead responsible for managing all aspects related to registration for events. This client-facing role required exceptional customer service, collaboration across internal teams, and working directly with clients and vendors to ensure excellent service throughout the event registration lifecycle.

YOU SHOULD HAVE

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant role, depending on the type of work experience.
  • Experience in project coordination, event registration, and corporate technology projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing or supporting high-touch projects or events successfully from concept to execution
  • Bachelor's Degree from four-year institution is preferred.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for effective and timely communication between internal team, clients, attendees, and partner organizations
  • Works as a lead on small, mid-sized, or large events
  • Ensures seamless coordination with event team, client and vendors by providing status reports. 
  • Supports training of employees and drives process improvements upon area of focus.
  • Able to provide critical, constructive feedback to colleagues
  • Able to lead client meetings un-supervised, advising clients on major decisions regarding each event
  • Understands pivot tables and other advanced Excel formulas

Event Registration Focus

  • Creates a registration timeline and organizational documents with the events management and client teams and ensures the timeline is followed.
  • Understands all areas of registration (housing, web, travel management) and can speak intelligently to clients on these areas
  • Coordinates content, maintains functionality, and manages registration website timelines for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Recognizes the need for documentation improvement, takes ownership in actively improving said documents; strong participant in team and client meetings and regularly suggests/prepares topics for discussion/presentation
  • ONSITE: Can proactively pre-plan and manage the onsite execution of large areas of registration including but not limited to technical need-based staffing assignments and badge printing and distribution
  • ONSITE: Is adaptable and can quickly identify when to change processes onsite in escalation situations
  • ONSITE: Understands badge security plans and can create new plans as needed

COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Microsoft Office suite program experience preferred (Outlook, Word, OneNote, etc.)
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication, presentation skills and quantitative abilities.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize workload on multiple projects & events simultaneously
  • Accept changes with short notice and tolerate frequent interruptions
  • Successfully performs in high stress, fast-paced environment
  • Display strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
  • Works cooperatively with other employees, vendors, and clients
  • Ability to read, edit, customize, and manipulate data and reports
  • Portray professional presence through superior communication, presentation, promptness, and appearance.
