Tax Accountant
Description
Who are we?
We are The Motley Fool, a purpose-driven financial information and services firm with nearly 30 years of experience focused on making the world smarter, happier, and richer. But what does that even mean?! It means we’re helping Fools (always with a capital “F”) demystify the world of finance, beat the stock market, and achieve personal wealth and happiness through our products and services.
The Motley Fool is firmly committed to diversity, inclusion, and equity. We are a motley group of overachievers that have built a culture of trust founded on Foolishness, fun, and a commitment to making the world smarter, happier and richer. However you identify or whatever winding road has led you to us, please don't hesitate to apply if the description above leaves you thinking, "Hey! I could do that!"
What does this team do?
If there’s a dollar sign in it, chances are it’s crossed these Fools’ desks — our Finance team handles everything including invoices, taxes, payroll, and more taxes. Due to their stellar work, The Motley Fool is staying financially fit as we continue to grow our business. They make sure that we’re paying our bills on time and accurately reporting financials for business leaders as well as the company at large. “Budget” is this team’s middle name (figuratively) since they’re responsible for (literally) all of our money.
What would you do in this role?
Is "Tax Regulation Trivia" your idea of a good time? Are you ready to make a professional Fool of yourself? If you answered yes to either (or both!) of these questions, you may be the perfect Fool for our Finance Team!
The Finance team is highly collaborative and is looking for a Tax Accountant to join their Foolish ranks. Trust us when we say that this isn’t your old school accounting gig with paper ledgers and an abacus stuck in a back room. A successful applicant will bring their technological chops along with analytical abilities, communication skills, and technical knowledge in support of various accounting and finance initiatives. So, if tax season is your favorite time of year, please send us your ultra-impressive resume and Foolishly written cover letter!
The position is a direct report to the Tax Manager.
