Strong agency experience of 10+ years, ability to manage creative teams composed of 100+ employees. Possess a versed knowledge of top Creative talent and great work across the industry.

Most Important Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management and operations for creative department; represent the creative department and CCO in administrative meetings with other departments
  • Manage creative department schedules and workloads along with creative leads, creative resource manager and project managers, determine who is available and best suited for assignments and assign work, propose freelance recommendations, rotate creative teams as needed to address business needs and career goals
  • Control, analyze & optimize the Creative department resourcing process & tools to output an efficient & effective weekly resourcing report & monthly forecast
  • Participate on monitoring & resolving project constraints (schedules, scope & resources)
  • Maintain a close interaction with ECD’s & ACDS to optimize creative structure or resolve under or over allocation of creative staffing across agency portfolio
  • Align with ECDs, PM & Marketing to ensure that CCO’s Creative Review Meetings are scheduled for all key projects earlier in the process to ensure CCO’s vision is incorporated in the work
  • Develop an agency wide categorization of our specific Creative talent expertise or acumen against the agency Client categories
  • Establish a talent evaluation system to ensure Creative leads are mentoring & monitoring the creative team
  • Assist in the development of an inter-office process for sharing Creative resources across day-to-day projects & new business
  • Review utilization/timesheets and work with creative leads to ensure time is approved and submitted in a timely manner to control departmental profitability
  • Identify & escalate the need for freelance talent & works with recruitment to staff accordingly
  • Maintain knowledge and status of all ongoing projects in the creative department, assist New Business in resourcing the appropriate team for the pitch
  • Coordinate agency wide creative reviews and department events
  • Be an ear for the creative department staff, work alongside HR to resolve conflicts, and addresscomplaints & concerns; be involved highly in the acquisition of new talent
  • Represent the POV/decisions of CCO at creative senior leadership meetings with ECD’s & ACDS and other department leads
